Bob & Helen Pitts first met in 7th grade.  Their paths crossed again in 2003, and since then they have married and started Buck Island BBQ.  Their shared love of home cooking, delicious wines, and having fun, have made Buck Island BBQ a local favorite.

                                                                                         

                                                                      

 We always love company at our Charlottesville area store.  Come by and sample our delicious home cooked meals, and learn more about making wine & beer.  Many wine & beer kits availabe for your choosing at the store.

Originally named Bayou BBQ, our name was later changed to reflect The Buck Island store where we are now located. 
 
The Buck Island store is a local landmark, and we have been happy to serve our neighborhood customers and the greater Charlottesville area for the past few years.
